The Researchers' Affects
An interdisciplinary team of anthropologists, primatologists, and literary scholars examines the affects of researchers in the field.
The scholars from Freie Universität Berlin and the University of Bern (Switzerland) explore what emotions occur during fieldwork, how these affects are modulated during the process of the generation of knowledge, and to what extent they are consciously or unconsciously articulated in texts that depict and refer to fieldwork.
The aim of the project „The Researchers’ Affects“ is to reflect the impact of emotions on research. The working group is being funded by the VolkswagenStiftung.
